The Cross Of Christ

Some things of my blog are copy and pasted from other sites. Should you find any errors of scriptures, it may not be that I wrote it but rather, copied what another wrote of the scriptures and then pasted it to save me time. I have not compared everything I have copied and pasted into this blog of scriptures…to any bible. I get these off Christian websites. And of places I trust. I hope I can trust in terms of what they’ve copied themselves of the scriptures to share with others.

Please keep this in mind throughout my entire blog if it is something of scripture that you find has an error. If I copy scripture myself…I take close care to make sure it is exactly word for word to the best I can and do NOT ever change up anything to fit my own words. I copy only what I see of the exact scripture and put the verse before it.

Just a note as you read. There are MANY MANY scriptures of the bible that relate and speak of the CROSS OF CHRIST. And if its in the bible and doesn’t say it is wrong to take it up, I take this literal as well as in the mental sense. And is why I wear one. As I know most other christians do. Many may argue that it is not right to wear what Christ was killed on around their neck.

I understand this argument and can see their point. But the bible speaks of the cross so often that I feel no harm in wearing one to show who I follow as the CROSS is known world wide as those who follow Christ. Correct? So, I wear it. So others will see that I follow Christ and I am Christian. And, because it’s in the bible many times. I don’t worship a cross, I don’t bow down to a cross. I don’t feel my cross is my God. I don’t speak more of the cross than of Christ. I don’t pray to a cross nor wake up thinking about a Cross. I don’t tell others about how a cross saved me. Cause it didn’t. I tell others how Christ is our redeemer and Messiah.

The following is taken from another site as scriptures speaking of the cross and of Christ.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. ” Galatians 2:20

“God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” Galatians 6:14

Hated by the world

“…the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18

“For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ; whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame — who set their mind on earthly things. For our citizenship is in heaven from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body….” Philippians 3:18-21

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life.” 2 Corinthians 2:14-16]

The main reason Jesus came into the world

“From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.

“Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, ‘Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!’ But He turned and said to Peter, ‘Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.’” Matthew 16:21-23

“He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem.” Luke 9:51

“And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center.

“Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, ‘Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘He said, ‘I am the King of the Jews.’

“Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His garments and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and also the tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top in one piece. They said therefore among themselves, ‘Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be,’ that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says: ‘They divided My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots.’…

“Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, I thirst! Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.” John 19:17-30

“…one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, ‘If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.’ But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, ‘Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?’ And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.’ Then he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.

“And Jesus said to him, Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.’” Luke 23:39-43

“…it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, ‘Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.’” Luke 23:44-47

“…the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28

“…we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.” Hebrews 2:9

“He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’” Luke

24:6-8

Prophesied centuries before His crucifixion

“He is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”

Is 53:3-5

We share in His death and victory

“…we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
“For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old [former] man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin.

“Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him…. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:4-11

Redeemed, once for all

“…you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience…. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus…. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast…..” Ephesians 2:1-9

“And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:13-15

“…having made peace through the blood of His cross.” Colossians 1:20

“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:20-21

Ongoing victory through the cross

“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:7-9

“…that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.” Ephesians 2:16-18

Our part of the daily victory

“He said to them all, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory…” Luke 9:23-26

” And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost…” Luke 14:27-28

“… he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.” Matthew 10:38-39

“And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel….” Colossians 1:21-23

“Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, ‘One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.’” Mark 10:21

AND MILLIONS HAVE. AND MANY HAVE DIED FOR DOING SO. AS CHRIST TAUGHT WE ARE EITHER WITH HIM OR AGAINST HIM. Any who can not admit Christ is Savior, Christ died for their sins, that Christ is Messiah is not with Christ.

Take a survey, ( write down the contacts and # of people spoken to. ) go to a store, stop ten people you don’t know who wear a cross and ask them why they wear it and what it represents to them as a Christian.

Tell them you’re just taking a religious survey. Then stop ten who don’t wear a cross and ask them if they believe in God or Christ as Son of God. Count how many do who wear a cross and count how many do who do NOT wear a cross. I can asure you more people who wear a cross will tell you they believe Christ is Messiah than those who do not wear a cross.

Now those same ten who wear a cross, ask them…say, hypothetically speaking, if I said give me your cross and never wear it again, what would do?

Write down now many would remove it and give it over to you vs how many would not. I assure you, not one will remove it and give it up to never wear it again. If they said they believed in Christ as Messiah, they will NOT remove it to give up their cross. If they didn’t say they believed in Christ…they will most likely say…well, sure. But how much will you buy it for? See the difference in the meaning of pagans and crosses vs christians and THEIR cross. BIG difference.

“Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.” 1 Corinthians 1:17

The offense of the cross

“…if I still preach circumcision [conforming to accepted cultural standards], why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased.” Galatians 5:11

As many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh, these would compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.” Galatians 6:12

Enduring the cross

“…since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2

“To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1:5-6

NIV 1 Corinthians 1:18

There are many crosses and many pagan versions as all are false except for one cross.

The one without decoration, the one without symbols, the one without Christ still on it. The one without being twisted or turned upside down. The one without colors or insignias or designs or glitter or jewels or diamonds or snakes or other people or anything else. As all of these are false crosses created by those who desire to blaspheme to the true cross of Christ. Why? Because not only does the enemy of Christ like to blaspheme Christ..but he also loves to blaspheme the symbol of those who follow and believe in Him. And the symbol of the many millions over the centuries whom have died for Him. THE CROSS.

AND THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUE CROSS.  PLAIN AND SIMPLE AS WAS THE CUP CHRIST DRANK FROM AS WAS THE MANGER HE WAS BORN IN AND AS WAS THE CLOTHES HE WORE.

But…the cross is pagan!  I agree. All but one. The one true one.

Did pagans wear robes? Yes. Did Christians? Yes.

Did pagans have symbols of faith? Yes. Did Christians? Yes.

Did pagans eat bread? Yes. Did Christians? Yes.

Now…because the pagans did these things first…and the Christians did too…does it mean that later, when the Christians came along that because they wore robes, had symbols of faith or ate bread that all these things were ways of the pagans? You can answer that question.

And the one that is spoken of in many bibles. The one that the bible says has power? Yes, like a drop of blood of Christ would have power to heal, so too the cross has the power of the following of Christ behind it. How?

The one wearing the cross HAS BEEN and WILL BE the one mocked, laughed at and ridiculed because that is the person who is known by the fallen world as the one who follows Christ. Is he thought of as a pagan? Nope. How about his church that has a steeple and a cross at the top? Is that considered a pagan church? They preach the bible…yet they have a cross on their building. Does it make them pagans? Nope. They are all followers of who? Of Christ.

And what is every headstone of every Christian soldier? A stake or a bone or a star or a cross? A cross.

And what again is spoken of in the bible to have power…matter a fact, in many scriptures, the cross is told to have power of faith. Is the bible mistaken? Were scholars THAT dumbfounded that they just didn’t know which it was…so they just put a cross?

Now…could a stake have been used? If so, here is how. Christ could have very likely carried at first…a stake but to the mound of skulls and then they nailed his hands to it there. Then hoisted it up to another stake already in the ground and bolted it together. Why? Because first, this seems logical when for him to carry a whole cross that would need to be big enough…would have been pretty HEAVY. And secondly, stakes were not the way Romans crucified people. Crosses and X’s were. Not single stakes. Another point is…to hoist him up by only a beam onto another virtical beam would seem logical as it is easier than to nail him to a cross and then try to pull the whole cross up and put it into place WITH Him on it. It would make more sense that the virtical beam was already in the ground.

The Romans were not idiots except for what they did to Christ of course but for exception of that…the Romans were a very advanced civilization and would use the easiest method, not the hardest. This most likely means that Christ could have carried a beam but that’s not a stake. A stake is wide at one end and sharp at another. A beam and then the result being what I mentioned. A possiblity but not for sure.

The cross however is paganized when decorated, contorted, twisted, symbolized by religions or organizations or individuals and why so many versions? A distraction from the true Cross of Christ that so many who DO follow Christ as Messiah…( not as an angel – which the bible does not say was Jesus ) also believe in the Cross of Christ.

Christ always was, is and shall be and He, being apart of God the Father BECAME MAN to humble Himself in the form as the Son of God but He is also apart of God as is the Holy Spirit. Christ is the foundation of all man does for God the Father shall not recognize man’s repentance or cries without going through the Son. The Son is the only Path to the Father. And the Son is far above ANY angel for those whom may be confused that Christ might have been an angel. No, lucifer was an angel. Gabriel was and is an angel, Michael was and is an angel and all three are powerful angels both dark and light. Christ did not come to earth as an angel nor did He leave as an angel. He came as Savior and Messiah and left as Savior and Messiah. BIG BIG difference.

I posted this because of differences of beliefs some religions teach others to believe in. That are based maybe on their bible…but that is their bible. Different in wording, even slightly…but enough…to change it all to fit their beliefs.

This is my own personal perspective and you can believe it…or not. Your choice. :)

John McCain was questioned by an evangelical recently on CNN about his faith and beliefs. He began with a story about himself in prison as a POW in asia. He said, when in there, they would take ropes and tie the arms behind the back and then loop the rope around the neck and bend you over. You can know that was pretty uncomfortable. He said, it was Christmas and a single guard came by and saw him and came in and loosened the ropes. He said, at that time we were allowed to not talk to the other prisoners but then we did. He said, when he saw the guy again…he drew a cross in the sand with his sandle. At that moment he knew and it was then just two people worshipping.

He meant who? A pagan god? A false god? No, he meant Christ as that is the symbol of Christ since Christ died on that symbol. It has been used by all who follow Christ. The pagan crosses are the crosses that have been contorted. Even satanists and magicians of the occult in the 6th century used a contorted cross with an image of Christ on it in a slumped form. This cross is still today used by the Catholic church and carried by all the popes. It is the bent or broken cross and has been called the mark of the beast.

John McCain…is he pagan? Nope. Was the guy who loosened his ropes a pagan? No. They were both believers of Christ. Followers of Judeo Christian beliefs. So, just because othe crosses are paganized…doesn’t mean that the true symbol of Christ AS WRITTEN IN THE MANY BIBLES…is also pagan too. The cross has been reproduced and mocked and blasphemed against and inverted and corrupted by men and by pagans and by occultists for a reason…because it DOES represent Christ. If it didn’t, would they bother trying to blaspheme it? Would they have tried to duplicate it as that is what the enemy of Christ does…he tries to duplicate Christ and BE LIKE Christ but none of his attempts are of the same as the ONE ORIGINAL CROSS. The Cross spoken of in scriptures? Yes, the one spoken of in THE HOLY BIBLE.

To sometimes learn the truth of certain things..you also have to study the enemy of your leader. See what they are doing. What their tactics are. To not know your enemy is to not understand their tactics to win you over. If one always only studied the leader and never the enemy of your team…what happens? The enemy then can fool you. Trick you. Deceive you. You MUST study the enemy. Sun Tzu even knew this and wrote it down as a strategy that all military leaders follow since his writings.

Some say the CROSS is an idol image and should not be worshipped. It IS an image and right…it should not be worshipped. That IMAGE or SYMBOL isn’t our God but is a symbol of Christ. People use symbols to associate themselves with what they are.

The cross isn’t worshipped because it’s not prayed to. The cross is simply worn to show who one follows…Christ. The prayers go to Christ. The kneeling is not to the cross but to Christ. The cross however is spoken to have the power of Christ behind it. And that is scriptural. Do scriptures lie? Nope. The scriptures are the word of God. Inspired by the Holy Spirit. So, if the Bible says that the cross has power and the bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit…then is the cross the true symbol of Christ?

Ask a few billion over the centuries whom have been persecuted and killed and hunted down and burned and tortured for the sake of the symbol of Christ they wore and died for.

THE CROSS THAT THEY WORE ON THEIR NECK THAT SHOWED THEY FOLLOWED CHRIST AND IS A SYMBOL OF LIFE.

The skull and bones…a symbol of death and poison and is another name for the place Christ died. The mound of skulls. And is why often you will see those of the dark occult side…wearing skull shirts, having skull and flame tattoos, having a facination with death and flames and blood, etc. Skulls have always and will always be used to represent DEATH. Indian graveyards had skulls and bones hanging from trees and occult organizations use the skull as a symbol of their following.

Don’t confuse twisted, corrupted, decorated, inverted crosses for the one spoken of in the Holy Bible. It is said too that there will be also a False Cross of the anti-christ when he comes into power and may be used as his own symbol. Keep in mind that anti-christ means “in replacement of Christ” and “false christ” and there are many of them. But there is also a master anti-christ…the one that will rule in the end of days. He may use also a form of a cross to deceive many as if creating a NEW type of Christian religion that looks and feels and smells and tasts a LOT like the real following of Christ…but with blasphemies added to it. One of them possibly being…a FALSE CROSS to represent himself or the new religion. Some say it is a cross with a star behind it and others say it is a multi-coloured cross to represent a number of nations or colours of people united. A universal faith for all to come to. But…another copy. Just a copy. A duplication of the true Cross and the TRUE Messiah. Jesus Christ.
